What helps with plantar calcaneal spur pain?
Asked 4 months ago
I’ve been struggling with plantar calcaneal spur pain that makes walking and standing tough. Searching online gives me mixed advice about shoes, insoles, and stretching. I’m unsure what actually works long‑term. Has anyone found reliable treatments or daily habits that reduce the discomfort and keep it manageable?

I had the same issue with a plantar calcaneal spur and it honestly made daily stuff like walking to the shops feel way harder than it should. Stretching my calves and rolling my foot on a cold water bottle gave me some short term relief but the pain kept coming back. But what really made a difference for me was getting custom orthotics. They gave my heel proper support and reduced the pressure so the pain was way more manageable. I hope this all helps you
