Can sesamoiditis be caused by wearing shoes that are too small?

Asked 3 years ago

I have sesamoiditis and I'm wondering if my shoes could be the cause of this condition. I've been wearing the same pair of shoes for a while now and they do feel a bit snug. Could this be the reason for my sesamoiditis? Any advice or professional opinions would be appreciated.

Yes, wearing shoes that are too small or ill-fitting can cause sesamoiditis if you frequently wear shoes that don't fit you properly or are too tight for you. It can also be caused by high-impact activities, foot injuries, and repetitive stress on the foot.
