Do insoles for heel pain relief work for nurses?
Asked 3 years ago
I’m on my feet for 12+ hours a day as a nurse, and my heels are constantly sore by the end of my shift. I’ve heard insoles might help but I’m not sure which ones are good for long hours. Anyone in healthcare found a pair that actually helps?

I've been in nursing for almost 20 years and know tool well of the agonizing pain that comes after doing a 12 hour shift. To answer your question, insoles can help but what really made a difference for me were custom orthotics. They are molded to your feet so they cushion the spots that hurt the most and give proper arch support. I can actually get through my shifts without that constant ache at the end.
