How can I tell if my toe box is too narrow?
Asked 4 years ago
I feel like I buy shoes that have too narrow a toe box, but I'm not sure how to tell. If the shoe fits me, surely the toe box should be the right size? Is there a method to check if the toe box is the right size?

As a rule of thumb, make sure you have enough room for your toes to spread out by performing the following simple test: 1. The insole from any possible shoe. 2. Place it on the ground and step on it The toe box is likely too narrow if your foot hangs off the sides of the insole. This means you'll either need to go up a shoe size or choose a different style of shoe that will accommodate your forefoot properly.
