Why do I get a buzzing or tingling feeling inside my foot?
Asked 3 months ago
I feel a weird buzzing, tingling, or even a burning sensation running along the inside of my ankle and into my arch or toes. It gets worse after I've been standing for a long time or walking. Is this just poor circulation, or could it be a specific nerve issue I need to look at?

That buzzing or tingling feeling inside your foot is often linked to a nerve issue, like tarsal tunnel syndrome, where a nerve near your ankle gets compressed. It can also happen from standing too long, tight shoes, or poor foot alignment. Try resting your feet more and wearing shoes with good arch support. If the tingling keeps coming back, it’s best to get it checked by a doctor. Custom orthotics from Upstep can also help relieve pressure on the nerve by improving alignment and support, and they’re delivered right to your door, so no specialist visit is needed.
