Can taping help with sesamoiditis?
Asked 2 years ago
I've been dealing with sesamoiditis for a while now and it's been really painful. I've tried different treatments but nothing seems to be working. Has anyone tried taping for sesamoiditis? Did it help with the pain and discomfort? Thank you in advance!

Taping is helpful and provide temporary relief for sesamoiditis by limiting movement of the joint and reducing pressure on the sesamoid bones. For example, you can tape the toe into a neutral position to immobilise the joint and reduce the amount of pressure in the area.
But , it is not a long-term solution and taping should be combined with other treatments such as rest, ice, and physical exercises.
