How to tell the difference between heel spurs vs. plantar fasciitis?

Asked 4 years ago

A dull pain started in my heel two days ago, and this morning, it was painful to stand. I'm not sure if it's plantar fasciitis or heel spur. Do you know?

Plantar fasciitis causes pain in the arch and heel of the foot as a result of damage or overuse of the plantar fascia.

However, Heel spurs: which are little jagged calcium deposits on the heel bone, form as a result of stress to the plantar fascia and are only seen in the heel.
