Does metatarsalgia go away?
Asked 3 years ago
Can metatarsalgia be cured? If so, how long does it take for the treatment to make it go away?

Metatarsalgia (ball of foot pain) takes 6-8 weeks to improve, and early action on the healing bone and joint might cause a setback in recovery. Noncompliance can double the time it takes for patients to heal and can be extremely frustrating. Normally, after a few days, metatarsalgia go away or symptoms may be decreased on its own. If your pain lasts longer than two weeks, or if it's severe and accompanied by swelling or discoloration, make an appointment with your doctor.
