Improved foot care can help lessen discomfort, but it isn't always enough. Collagen therapy is a new plantar fasciitis treatment that may be able to alleviate some of this pain. Despite the fact that there has been no research on collagen and plantar fasciitis, what is known so far shows that collagen may have a specific anti-inflammatory effect on damaged collagen and fascia cells and may supply the fundamental building blocks for mending damaged tissues.

No direct link has been established yet between collagen and plantar fasciitis. However, collagen provides the building blocks for repairing damaged tissues. With ageing or extreme physical activity, the capacity reduces. In such instances, taking collagen supplements for plantar fasciitis will likely speed up heel pain relief.

Taking collagen for plantar fasciitis will help relieve the symptoms, howbeit indirectly. Notably, the plantar fascia contains type 1 collagen. Thus, taking collagen supplements will allow the body to build and repair any damaged tissue in the foot, reducing inflammation and healing your plantar fasciitis quickly.
