Can custom orthopedic insoles cause knee pain?
Is it normal that my knees hurt since I got my orthotics for plantar fasciitis? Ever since I got the insoles, my knees hurt so much, and I can’t squat as much as I used to. The podiatrist said it would take a couple of weeks to adjust, but it’s been over two months, and my legs are in pain.Asked 2 years ago

Do hard plastic insoles cause more damage to the plantar fascia?
Today I met an orthopedic doctor sitting next to my husband and me at a restaurant, and I decided to ask him his thoughts on PF treatments. He then asked me what my insoles were made of, and I told him it was hard plastic. He proceeded to tell me that hard insoles aren't good because they cause more damage to the plantar fascia. Has anyone ever heard something like this? I thought hard insoles were what you're supposed to wear. Anyone have a good soft insole they recommend? Maybe it's worth a try. Thanks!Asked 2 years ago
