How can I strengthen my ankles for when I run?
Asked 4 years ago
My ankles get sore quite quickly when I run, and I was wondering if there was anything I could do to strengthen them so that this doesn't happen?

Exercise such lateral hops and A-skipping while running can help strengthen your ankles against pain.
For lateral hops, stand on your left leg and hop back and forth for 30 seconds over an imaginary line. While balancing on your right foot, repeat the motion. This is a fantastic workout to improve ankle stability.
A-skipping entails gently skipping forwards with one hand on the opposing leg. It's an excellent drill for cutting down on ground contact time and increasing coordination. Perform on both sides of the stage.
