Are heel spurs always painful?
Asked 4 years ago
I can imagine that having a bony growth in your foot must really hurt, but is this always the case? Is it possible to have a heel spur that doesn't hurt?

Heel spurs are ususally painful but they differ from case to case, and on the stage of the spur with its growth. In case of a chronic heel spur, it is more painful as the growth of the spur will be more in comparison to the acute ones just developed. Hence, it is important to treat heel spurs as soon as they develop even if the pain is mininal or zero.
