What are some pains or sensations associated with anterior shin splints?

Tenderness, soreness, or pain along the inner side of your shinbone, as well as mild swelling in your lower leg, are signs of shin splints. When you cease exercising, the pain may go away at first. However, the pain might become chronic over time, leading to a stress reaction or stress fracture.
