Can tight hips cause plantar fasciitis?
Asked 3 years ago
I've never had any issues with my feet, only my hips. However, it seems that I'm developing plantar fasciitis in my left foot. Could this be due to my hips?

Yes! Weakness of the hip muscles while walking may result in plantarflexion muscle overuse, which can increase the waiting on the plantar fascia causing pain. Reasons for Dysfunctional Hip muscles: poor posture, faulty biomechanics, sitting too much, and/or stress. Avoiding these things will ease the pain.
