I sprained my ankle, it hurts to walk without the support of a brace, and it swells on both sides of my ankle, it also is bruising. How long do you think it will take to heal?

I sprained my ankle a week ago, on the first day of our Colorado vacation. It's swelling, and I can't walk well without a brace, I didn't want to miss out on the trip, so I pushed through, and went hiking, and it was worth it!
