Can I fracture my toes if I have high-arched feet?
Asked 3 years ago
Hi guys, I went to the doctor about a week ago because I was experiencing a lot of pain in my feet, I have more calluses than usual, and I don't fit into my old shoes anymore. He then diagnosed me with a cavus foot. Today, I noticed that my toes are curling in more than they used to. What are the odds I injure my toes because of it?

One of the common complications of cavus foot is hammertoes - what you call the curling of your toes. Hammertoes can lead to more debilitating injuries. While it often begins mildly, it worsens progressively over time. Eventually, the toes become more rigid and irresponsive to conservative treatment. It can also cause metatarsal stress fractures.
