How are rigid flat feet caused?
Asked 3 years ago
Is it something that you are born with or can it develop? If it is the latter, how does it develop and what are the causes?

Rigid flat foot is caused by improper foot development, which can be caused by congenital anomalies (vertical talus) or faulty foot bone connections (tarsal coalition). It’s frequently linked to improper foot development as a result of a more significant underlying illness, like a neuromuscular disorder. The majority of neuromuscular flatfoot patients will have stiff flatfoot. Neuromuscular flatfoot management varies from idiopathic flexible flatfoot management in that it frequently necessitates more invasive treatment, such as surgery.
