What does tendonitis in your foot feel like?
Asked 4 years ago
Is there a distinct feeling with foot tendonitis that would help me identify it? Is it really painful?

Foot with tendonitis may feel painful, tender, and uncomfortable around the ankle joint. It could be difficult and painful to move, as well as painful to touch. However, tendonitis pain is different from other types of pain since it comes and goes. When you have tendonitis, the pain usually gets worse after you've rested. When you take your first steps in the morning, you may detect stiffness or severe pain in your foot and ankle. When you stand up after sitting for a long time, the pain may be severe.
Pain fades as you continue your activities, but it often returns if you've been standing for too long.. The affected joint will most likely swell and become stiff. Orthotics can sometimes help tendonitis pain.
