Can doing calf raises help to prevent shin splints?

If I add calf raises into my exercise routine would that help me with preventing shin splints?

Shin splints are the most common injury for beginner runners or athelets.
Indeed! Improving your calf muscle strength by doing calf raises or exercise similar to that will help you with preventing the shin splints. Calf raises and hip abductor strenghting exercises are the most efffective one.
