What are possible treatments for metatarsophalangeal joint pain?
Asked 4 years ago
Has anyone else had MTP joint pain, and if so, how did you treat it? Can I use ice to relieve the pain, or can I just take some ibuprofen?

You can treat Metatarsophalangeal joint pain by using nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) like ibuprofen and naproxen. You can also use ice packs and consider getting better footwear. Resting the foot also does wonders to the metatarsalgia. The best treatment approach is often a combination of all the available treatment techniques.
