What causes painful heels in the morning?
Asked 4 years ago
Why do my heels always hurt in the morning? I sleep comfortably, my shoes are the right size, I have a pretty active lifestyle. I'm really confused why I am always in pain in the morning.

Plantar fasciitis is the most common cause of heel pain in the morning. It is caused by an inflammation of the plantar fascia and causes a stabbing pain in your heels. Pain may also be due to Achilles tendonitis/stress fracture. Whatever the case, an accurate diagnosis will help in determining the best treatment plan
