How can I avoid pain even though I'm on my feet all day?

I'm a sous chef, and I'm on my feet for up to 12 hours on some days. At the end of the day, my feet and ankles are extremely painful. Is there a way to avoid pain caused by being on your feet all day? I have to wear specific shoes as part of my uniform, so better shoes aren't an option. Any assistance is appreciated.

If you can't change your shoes, you can make them more comfortable by using insoles. They are available over the counter, but it is better to get a custom-designed insole. The design factors in your foot size, shape, shoe type, and nature of work, thus ensuring maximum support for your feet.
