Can I have my damaged orthotics repaired or adjusted?
Asked 3 years ago
Hi there! I have owned my pair of custom orthotics for 2 years now, and am seeking advice as to whether it is better for me to buy a new pair or if I can repair or adjust my current pair? Does repairing or adjusting increase the life span for a long time?

Usually it is recommended that you seek out new orthotics after a period of use as long as you've had yours, and even more so if the orthotics are damaged. Older orthotics will not support the alignment and arch of the feet adequately and may lead to pain arising in the feet after use. You will find increased support, comfort, and stability from the new materials used in making orthotics. New orthotics will further limit pain or discomfort occurring in the feet. The lifespan of orthotics is usually 12 months to 18 months depending on the amount of daily use you require from them.
