Are custom orthotics for flat feet supposed to hurt at first?
Asked 3 years ago
So I got custom orthotics hoping to finally fix my flat feet pain. It’s only been two weeks but my legs and heels are aching in new spots now. Is this something normal to experience while my feet adjusting or could it be something else?

Yeah, this is quite normal to experience in the first few weeks. Your muscles and tendons are adjusting to the new support, so you could experience aches in your calves, heels, or even knees. I started to feel some sort of improvement after 3 weeks. But if the pain is sharp or worsening, please seek medical help.
