Can calf stretches help with plantar fasciitis?
Asked 2 years ago
I have been looking for ways in which I can relieve my plantar fasciitis at home. Stretches are quite an easy, low-intensity exercise that I can do, but I'm just wondering if it would actually do anything to help?

Taut calf muscles aggravate plantar fasciitis. So, yes! Stretching the calf muscles is a good exercise that can relieve pain due to plantar fasciitis. The calf stretch loosens the muscle fibers, reducing the pull on the plantar fasciitis, and eliminating any contribution of the muscles to your pain.
