Grierson Gopalan syndrome: What is it?

Asked 2 years ago

I was researching potential reasons why my feet feel tingly and burn a little bit at night and I saw something called Grierson Gopalan syndrome. Can anyone explain to me what this is?

Burning feet syndrome, also known as Grierson-Gopalan syndrome, is a group of symptoms that cause the feet to become unbearably hot and painful. The burning feeling may worsen at night, with some alleviation coming throughout the day. The severity of the symptoms might range from minor to severe.

Grierson-Gopalan Syndrome simply expressed as Burning feet syndrome is a medical condition that causes heat and burning sensations in the feet, especially at night. It is most common in women between the ages of 20 and 40. Good thing is that the condition is treatable once diagnosed early.
