How can I prevent sore ankles when I run?

Does it have to do with my form when I run? Is there anything that I can do to stop this from happening?

Well you can perform exercises such as calf raises, ankle circles(clock and counterclockwise) and also band resistant work that will strengthen your muscles around feet, and it will help you preventing painful ankles when you run. Additionally, you can try using orthotics when you exercise.

But if your ankle is in a lot of sharp pain, then hold off on stretching and strengthening for 48 hours, and RICE method is recommended!
