Will I develop Achilles tendonitis if I occasionally play sports?
Good evening everyone, I love to occasionally play sports events on weekends as a way to get out of the house and socialize. However, I've been experiencing stiffness in my calves all the way down to my ankle. This could be due to me being unfit, but I don't know how to tell the difference between Achilles tendonitis and simply a stiff muscle.Asked a year ago

Will I get Achilles tendonitis if my feet have naturally flat arches?
Hey guys, I've got naturally flat feet. I don't know why. I guess I just never developed arches growing up as a child. What I am wondering, though, is whether this would eventually lead me to experience AT. It's not like I had arches that had fallen, so my tendon should be used to the strain, right? Asked a year ago

I just got diagnosed with Achilles Tendonitis. Should I invest in shoes with softer heel counters to avoid irritating the injured tendon? What else do you recommend I do for treatment and to aid the healing process? Also, how long would you reckon it will take for the AT to heal?Asked a year ago

Which physical therapy exercises reduce tightening calf muscles?
I've been struggling with incredibly tight calf muscles and moving my feet since this cursed Achilles Tendonitis has come into play. I've been soaking in Epsom salts and using warm compressions in an effort to relax the muscles and reduce the pain, but overall the tension remains. I would love to be able to stretch them for relief, without aggravating the tendonitis. Is it at all possible to do this? Asked a year ago

Should I consider surgical treatment for Achilles Tendonitis?
Here's the big question that has been on my mind for the past week: Should I consider minimally invasive surgery for effective pain relief if diagnosed with AT? I'm never one for surgery and would instead take the long road rather than risk further complications. However, despite the stretches and compresses, this tendonitis has become incredibly painful, and I'm ready to do anything to make it disappear. Is the surgery worth it? TIAAsked a year ago
